The right
place for studying is very important for it affects the
effectiveness of the learning process. If the place is too
noisy, then the kids’ concentration will be distracted. Yet,
it doesn’t mean that your kids must only study in a very
quiet ambiance.
It
has to be adjusted with their character and learning style.
Talk to
them. Discuss about how they prefer to do it. Do they prefer
to do it in a quiet place or with some music on or with some
friends? Make sure they feel totally comfortable while
studying.
Some
kids might need a special room, a study room, while some
other prefers to do it in their room. If they like to study
in a study room better, prepare one for them. Decorate the
room the way they want it to be. It doesn’t have to be a big
room. The most important thing is that they can get all the
learning equipments—such as books, stationary and
computer—easily.
Choose
light colors
to decorate the wall, such as green, light green, blue,
cream, and white. Those have a calming sense that help the
kids easily absorb what they learn. Make sure that the
lighting is bright enough. Dim lighting might cause your
kids’ enthusiasm to decrease.
If you
happen to
have more than one kid
who have differences in learning style, you’d better make a
rule. Create a schedule together. Let your kids help you
make the decision. Then, you can ask them to sign on the
arranged schedule. Next, put it on the wall of the room for
them to check out just in case they forget the timing.
By
giving the best in term of place for your kids to study, you
show how much you love them. Plus, they will surely pass
with flying colors.
